Josefina has been weaving for over 20 years, and has partnered with MZ Made since the beginning. She loves the entire process, from choosing the colors and patterns to watching them come to life on the loom and becoming a finished handbag.
MZ Made is a B Corp Certified, women-owned + women-run brand that partners with indigenous Zapotec designers + artisans from Oaxaca, Mexico. Our work as a brand is to connect their incredible artistry with a wider market, make a positive impact by creating opportunities for sustainable employment, nurturing lasting relationships, and always abiding by fair trade principles. In addition to our B Corp certification, we are accredited Fair Trade by the Fair Trade Federation. We recognize the significant role that weaving plays in maintaining and celebrating the incredible Zapotec artisanal lineage.
